6 August: Little one with his papa
Taquile Island, last stop in Peru before we headed over to Bolivia. Tradition here dictates that all men are required to wear color-coded hats indicating marital status: red = married, white = single. Real-life stoplight party!
Kids are excepted, of course, so this little guy gets to wear whatever kind of hat he wants.

6 August: Bobbing along
Inter-island transport at the Uros Floating Islands in Lake Titicaca. Families live on man-made floating islands made of reeds and row themselves from island to island. Interestingly, bathrooms are typically on islands separate from the main living space, so potty breaks must be planned for.

4 August: The sky is my ceiling
These were actually covered with thatched roofs during Incan times. The astrologers/high priests sometimes opted to forego them to better connect with the sky, though.

3 August: Mountain view
View from Winay Wayna, on our last night of the Inca Trail. We were surrounded by these lush mountains throughout our 40 mile hike.
