17 December: Somebody here is getting a cool Christmas present
And the rest of you aren’t getting anything. Oops.
I haven’t made a duct tape wallet in a really long time. I had to literally dust off my box of tape. Good thing I had the foresight to write out some instructions for myself in 2009, or I’d have been in deep poo tonight. Even so, I got so caught up in the design that I almost forgot the main cash pouch. Pulled it apart just in time!

WordPlay #15: Goodbye
Kevin is moving on to bigger and brighter things, so for now, this is farewell to Word/Play. :(
WordPlay #13: Line
WordPlay #12(?): Extreme
Made some plain-jane save-the-date cards for a friend of mine, because let’s face it, this couple needs no further cute-ifying.
And yes, that is Arinell’s pizza.

WordPlay #2: Cloud
WordPlay #1: Balloon
Woohoo, just spent 2 hours making a cutething.
It’s a wallet-sized pouch for my aunt. She asked me to make one for her (like 5 months ago) with something cute on it, and I was never able to come up with a design I liked. Tonight, I decided I should just do it, and go with a panda design I wasn’t totally happy with—but right as I started sketching out the panda, I decided to switch to these kimono girls instead. I’m happy with the result. :)
(I’m going to rethink using white tape again, though, because the edges of duct tape are always sort of dirty and it really shows on the white. :( Oh well.)
The makings of linkthecorgi’s birthday present.
There was also some red and white polka-dotted ribbon involved in the wrapping. All in all one of my favorite crafty projects… not in small part because the subject was a puppy who lives to be really, really, ridiculously good-looking. :)
Happy Birfday (almost)!
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
DIY stuff, like book purses, duct tape art, Halloween costumes, and especially duct tape wallets.
(From a series of my answers to the usual end-of-year survey questions. Photo/wallet by me.)
